    • About

      Claudia G., BSc., MSc.

My name is Claudia and I started The Howly Hound Dog Training & Behavior Modification to follow my passion: improving the lives of dogs and their owners!

I became passionate about dog training and animal behavior thanks to my rescue dog ❤️ who had all sorts of behavior "problems", and opened up a whole new world of science to me: animal behavior! I hold a BSc. and MSc., which sharpened my trouble shooting skills and persistence immensely (I rarely ever give up).

I'm a very optimistic person, am very compassionate and understanding, love the environment an animals, and when I learned that more animals get surrendered and/or die due to behavioral issues than physical health issues, I knew I had to help.

Furthermore, I'm against force- and fear-based training, including the use of prong/choke/shock collars. I've published a brochure to educate the public about damage that such tools can do here: http://tiny.cc/8eepaz.

      Peter N.

I really would like to thank Claudia from The Howly Hound for giving me the tools to train my dog, Sigma. He is aggressive towards other dogs but her patience and her positive reinforcement training has brought him a long way! She helped me identify Sigma’s body language when he’s stressed or relaxed and showed me many exercises to try at home. I’ve had a very positive experience with Claudia.
